Ernest Normand

Ernest Normand (1859-1923) was a Victorian painter of historical and orientalist scenes. He seemed to have a thing about "white slavery" because a lot of his paintings have that as a theme.

 Bondage (1890)

 Esther Denouncing Haman (1888)

 Evil Sought

 Playing (1886)

 Pygmalion and Galatea (1886)

The Bitter Draught of Slavery (1885)

The White Slave (1894)
