George Henry Boughton

George Henry Boughton (1833-1905) was English-born, but lived in America for much of his life. I could have put him in my American painting blog, but because many of his paintings were done in England, and he studied art there, I put him here.

Autumn

 Priscilla (1879)

 Returning from Mass, Brittany (1850-57)

The Ferry, A Dainty Fare (1890)
