Henry Courtney Selous

Henry Courtney Selous (1803-1890) was a painter and illustrator. He was born with the last name of "Slous" but changed it to "Selous" by 1838. The first offering here, Opening of the Great Exhibition, was probably his best known work.

Sir David Wilkie

Sir David Wilkie (1785-1841) was a prominent Scottish painter. He was one of the artists featured in this blog's very first post.
